Dog Days of Summer

These 90+ degree days have been wearing on me. Just standing outside sucks the energy and motivation straight out of me. Skating has now become a chore. Even filming sucks. These clips were from last weekend. It had been raining on and off all day, and the sun finally came out. With that rain came so much humidity it was barely tolerable. My shirt was instantly soaked. I'm tired of Kansas' summer already-all over again. Can't wait to be in Milwaukee for the 4th of July weekend!

We started Josh's blog minute at Grandview and only came up with the first warm up clip before it started pouring. The new Lees Summit park is my new favorite worst park. You won't be seeing me there again unless I have to. But Josh and Kevin killed it!

Damn..no Sheckler! etnies dudes that showed up: Malto, Mikey Taylor (lurked), Kyle Leeper (lurked), Jose Rojo, Devine Calloway (lurked), and Davis Torgerson.

Lots of beer, sun, and fun. I did my best-sorry if I missed something tight! The clips pretty much go in order of the day-8am to 6pm. Contest to contest, etc etc.

Thanks to everyone who came out and made the day the sickest GSD KC has ever seen! I hope next year can be 10x as epic.

Wow, its been a while. Its been a turbulent and bittersweet past few weeks. Some hard times and some good times, but nonetheless, I'm back on the grind now.

A Day With SkatePerception's Finest

Well, the video explains itself, but I picked up Steve LaClair-owner and runner of the top skate Film/Photo website/forum from KCI, and we met up with Tim Melonakis, Dave Carulli, and Matt Brown-all established homies from SP. Clinton helped me out while I was driving, as you can see.

We barged some parks and had an epic day. Skate cameos include Clinton, DeFreece, and Spencer White (Dave filmed all of my clips with his camera, so I'm not in it, haha).

KCVM Penn Valley 'Tage

This was supposed to be the "Featured Park" montage for KCVM, but as you can already tell, Drew and I both got caught up in other things and blew it on that. Anyway, this is all from about this time last year-within a month at least. All old, all filmed with my old 2100, minus two clips. I thought this tage was sick at the time, then I filmed A-Smith's and Josh Crane's blog minutes! Haha. Anyway, enjoy this oldie from last year, it had to go.

Happy Cinco De Mayo!

As of yesterday, C-Hodge managed to get a couple bowl runs in at Penn Valley before the Cinco de Mayo party started. Filmed this in a rush before the park became overwhelmingly crowded for the BBQ. Enjoy. Oh yeah, and Byron Minor won the best trick yesterday with laserflip down the dirt gap. I have no footage though.
